A Christmas Carol???

both the sheet music and the original Madison Square Garden cast recording are out of print. the CD can be purchased used on Amazon.com and I did a yahoo search and found the sheet music for you... from what I understand though, the Kelsey Grammar CD is pretty accurate to the changes that were made through out each consecutive mounting in New York and the version of the script licensed from MTI (even though MTI lists it as being the original version of the script) I've been led to believe that this is not the case. if the script is on-line somewhere it shouldn't be, but it probably is... and if it is that would be illegal so I suggest, if you would like to read the script, that you contact MTI...

MTI does have the rights, and although they say it's the "original version", it is not. I had a perusal a few months ago, and it was the script that they used in the most recent MSG production. If you saw the show in it's final years, the show was much different from the orginal.

I personally HATED the TV version... it was ruined. As for the stage version, I saw it 2 years in a row at Madison Square Garden, and thought it was fabulous! They should have taped a live stage performance for TV, rather than make a corny, has-been filled, crap movie.

I saw it with both Tim Curry and Jim Dale... and I honestly can't say who was a better Scrooge.... they both added their own personality to him... they were both awesome!
