Big flippin' whoop! Cleveland Playhouse has done it for 3 or 4 years.......... With great success. Movie was filmed here...all the exteriors.

Is that the show they've done at Cleveland?

I believe the one that Cleveland's done and my area theatre is the straight play version which is almost identical to the movie. The straight play in my opinion works well and audiences love it--I think a musical for this movie is possibly the worst idea I've ever heard!

The movie is crud, so it's a given that the musical will not be anything great.

Good lord! I do love the movie, but can't picture it as a musical.
