A Chrous Line- 2/7/07

saw the show last night and enjoyed it, but wanted to share this interesting thing that happened that I've never experienced before! In the middle of the show, actually close to the end, the actress who played Bebe was a different person! Started off as regular cast member Alison Porter but when they all leave the stage to "learn the #", when they come back it was different actress!!! The new girl had very curly hair and was slimmer than Alison..it was very strange, I have never seen that happen before! :)

That is interesting! They were supposed to start a talkback after the show last night - did you go? Which actors were at the talkback?

It was likely Michelle Aravena that replaced Porter. Maybe she was sick and couldn't continue??

WARNING:

THREADJACK!

I was in a production of “My Fair Lady” and I understudied “Eliza”. The girl who played her fell ill right after “Loverly” and I was immediately taken off stage, wiped clean (from being a dirty street urchin) and “Eliza-fied” in a matter of seconds, it seemed. When I entered, I am sure the audience was very confused (not to mention poor “Doolittle” who had no idea what was going on) because I was obviously a different person, wearing a completely different colored wig than “Eliza” was wearing a few seconds ago and I was about 4 inches shorter. I was lucky the crew had time to put me into wardrobe or else I am sure they would’ve thrown me out there naked in order to make the entrance on time.

I wonder if Allison did get sick…It’s the worst!
