A High School Mama Rose...

The last thing I would want to see is a 16 year old Rose.

But ehhh. She's not not that bad. She's pitchy throughout the whole song. Her acting is pretty good. And the set is very nice.

She's actually not too bad. Yes, her singing is off, but her acting was good.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I actually have a friend who was in this production, and I didn't hear anything about the Rose other than "She's good, but she's no Bernadette."

I don't think her voice is mature enough for such a part.

She's REALLY good. The singing was okay..the acting was fantastic.

She's really, really good.

Another 15-20 years, some cigarettes, and a little voice coaching, and she'll be a hell of a Mama Rose.

And why do directors direct people to sing RIGHT out to the audience so much??

Wouldn't it be neat if Broadway had orchestras as big as this?

I agree that she is quote good, especially for 16! Though I don't get why people are comparing her to Bernadette who of course, has just a wee bit more training and experience than a 16 year old could have XD
