The Broadway script is terrible? Try reading the MTI script if you wanna see TERRIBLE. And gimme a break about it being illegal. Every director makes changes in scripts and music. The contract is contradictory. It says "no changes or cuts may be made in the show" and then when they send you the materials they say "please mark all cuts and changes in pencil so you can erase them before returning the material." Hello!!!!!!!

Alot of you guys love to cut up Jekyll & Hyde... I have a question. I have a friend, who works at MTI, who licenses not only J&H but most of the best shows of the last 25 years on Broadway, including Sondhiem, Les Mis, Fiddler, etc. I am told that even since Jekyll closed on Broadway, it remains one of the most popular (top 5) titles, that MTI licenses. There have been over 350 American Production, 30 international, including ones that have won "Best Musical" in that country, and I have also been told, by MTI, it is one of the most recorded modern American musical with over 14 separate recordings in 10 different languages. So, why do you think that is?

I'm in love with JEKYLL & HYDE, but SCARLET PIMPERNEL 2.0 and WAITING FOR THE MOON are his best works in my opinion.
