As well as never liking to see a bad production, new plays need all the successes they can get so people will still actually produce them. I hope it improves before the opening. If it is a total critical flop, I wonder what effect there will be on Greenberg's other plays this season.

Well, the major not-for-profits will continue to produce new plays regardless of anything -- especially ones by a Tony-winner like Greenberg. THREE DAYS OF RAIN is a proven play which has been produced to acclaim around the country since its initial run at MTC in the '80s. Besides, with Julia Roberts in the cast, it will have recouped its investment and turned a profit before the first preview begins.

Well I am quite sorry you dont trust my opinion - but I honestly believe I was indeed kind in my review...it really does boarder on a very tame/lame GOAT imho.
