Ain't looking too good, which is too bad. As well as never liking to see a bad production, new plays need all the successes they can get so people will still actually produce them. I hope it improves before the opening. If it is a total critical flop, I wonder what effect there will be on Greenberg's other plays this season.

Posted: 9/19/05 at 11:47amGiven who's attached to the revival of Three Days Of Rain, I don't see that one being harmed.
re: A Naked Girl on the Appian Way#8
Posted: 9/19/05 at 11:51amWell, the major not-for-profits will continue to produce new plays regardless of anything -- especially ones by a Tony-winner like Greenberg. THREE DAYS OF RAIN is a proven play which has been produced to acclaim around the country since its initial run at MTC in the '80s. Besides, with Julia Roberts in the cast, it will have recouped its investment and turned a profit before the first preview begins.

Posted: 9/19/05 at 11:54amTrue, of course. But I still think it could possibly have some impact on the reviews. Not that those really matter in this case.

Margo's opinion is one of the very, very few I trust on this board. Will look for your review, MC.
