Posted: 8/12/09 at 5:16pmI saw online that all the tickets are sold for the first show. i am aware that tickets go on sale to the general public next week but I was wondering if the box office will have tickets for the first day or did they sell that all out online?

Posted: 8/12/09 at 5:27pmTickets have been on sale to the general public since July 25. If there aren't any tickets available through telecharge, there won't be any available at the box office.

Just because the box office will begin selling tickets next week doesn't mean the tix haven't yet been released for the general public to buy. They've been on sale via telecharge since July 25, following an Amex pre-sale that began July 11.
So, I stand by my answer. If you can't find any tickets for the first performance online, there probably won't be any available at the box office once it opens. Of course nothing is certain, but that's the most likely scenario. Best of luck in getting tickets!
