Agreed. I was looking at a random Wednesday matinee in October and the very last row of the balcony was $169, with the service fee driving it up another $20. As much as I always enjoy Allison Janney and as exciting as I find the prospect of seeing Julia Louis-Dreyfus on stage, I can't bring myself to spend these prices, especially for a play that I saw during its first Broadway outing and haven't thought much about since.

I adore this show and adored this production, so I was excited to catch this today. While I'm firmly in the boat that the editing and camera work was largely disappointing, I still thought the performances (which made this production special) shined through. I saw this a few nights ago and agree with what Jordan says - I think my expectations were so lowered going in that I ended up being pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It certainly isn't the greatest thing to hit the stage, but it was an entertaining 90 minutes with some superb vocals and a score that I thought captured the early 2000s pop sound pretty well.
