Given that the role of Jo is only for the vocally powerful and requires someone with more facial expressions than Daria, I don't think Rossum is a good choice.

Noo... noo.. no Emmy, for a simple reason, ok two reasons. Jo requires passion and conviction to be believable. Emmy couldnt play fire if she had a match lit under her ass. And she doesnt have the vocal power for it either. And the rest of the cast is all wrong too. But lets not go there.

For every dream cast/film thread this kid starts I loose one more nerve!

i don't mind this thread at all, but what i find incredibly ironic, is the more you post that you DON'T like the thread...the more time it is bumped up and the longer it stays alive...

Any role that requires singing should not be cast with Emmy Rossum. Actually, any role that requires more facial expressions than the deer caught in headlights look should not be cast with Emmy Rossum.

I agree keggss, and any role that requires singing should not be given to Emmy Rossum. Jo is Sutton's role dammit. I would boycott anyone else. And whats up with all of those actresses like bledel? can they sing? I mean, I love Lansbury, and Joe Mac, but come on. Reese Witherspoon and Josh Jackson. Please. No cast at all is better than that one.
