A list of regional theatre companies producing Skeleton Crew

I always keep track of regional theaters to see which New York plays make an impact in the local companies' seasons, and I don't think I've ever seen so many professional theaters produce one play in a season as much as Skeleton Crew. Here's every equity company I've found producing it:

Actor's Theatre of Louisville

Theatreworks, Silicon Valley

Marin Theatre Company

Studio Theatre of Washington, D.C.

Baltimore Center Stage

Detroit Public Theatre

Northlight Theatre

Huntington Theatre

Trinity Repertory Theatre

 Geffen Playhouse

Old Globe Theatre

What gives?

It is a good play, very relevant to our times. It has a small cast, and it might be relatively easy to produce. I think the set at the Atlantic was pretty sophisticated, if I'm remembering correctly. But maybe it could be simplified. I liked it better than Sweat, which covered similar territory.

The Geffen and the Old Globe are both producing it as well. Pretty astonishing.

@M.O.A.I. Thank you, I've added both to the list. I excluded the Old Globe originally because it's technically part of the 2016-2017 season, but I've added it for dramatic effect.

@macnyc, I don't dispute its quality, but it's still a pretty shocking number of theatre companies. I can't remember the last time this many theatres produced a single play in one season (maybe Doubt in the 2005-2006 season?)
