Just A Housewife- from Working

This song has a great melody, and I love the orchestrations. The lyrics aren't great though. The entire song is kind of random, but I really like it.

Does anyone else like this song?

I do.

I also like Neat To Be A Newsboy, It's an Art and Nobody Tells Me How.

I do find the score to be as inconsistent as may be expected from a show with six (?) people contributing to the score and skip the rest.

I adore this song. At one point it was a song I just played on repeat. Heartbreaking.

I did the same thing, Ashley, and in general, love that score. I also played repeatedly, "Hard Candy Christmas" from Best Little Whorehouse.

liljay, WHY do you say the lyrics for "Just a Housewife" aren't great?

I consider this a gem of a song, perfectly capturing the character in its simple steam-of-thought words. Sometimes underwriting a lyric can be very effective.
