ABC's "Mattress" and Bush's speech

I just heard that President Bush will be addressing the nation on Sunday night, probably right around the time ABC will be airing "Mattress." Has anyone heard anything about how the network will handle this?

The movie starts at 7:00. The President's speech is at 9:00 so the movie will be over.

It's a propaganda central speech, Rovian boilerplate, to tell us that the Iraq elections have made us all "safer." I'm not sure all the networks will carry it.

and the speech will be great why??? Will Bush tell us the war is over and we have victory? Oh no, wait, he did that already, before thousands more were killed in action. Will he claim to have found the WMD?? Will he defend his actions spying on the American people or explain why his approval rating is so low??? Whatever, enjoy the speech--I'll be elsewhere, embracing reality.

What does this mean for Desperate Housewives?!? they already snubbed us last week, if they do it again I might cry....

Housewives was always scheduled to be a repeat on Sunday.
