how has it been? i want to go either sunday the 10th or thursday the 14th. i was gonna see what they had and if not then i was gonna go over to tkts. any help?
I did rush for the show on Sun July 19 for the evening performance. I got there about 30-40 min ebfore they opened (noon) and everyone in line got tickets, and there was a considerable amount of empty seats in the theatre for the performance.
I was also hoping to get rush tickets for the 6:30 show on the 10th. if i got to the theater around 2 or 3, do you think id still be able to get tickets?
Considering that the show is closing due to people not seeing it and due to having a pretty empty house most nights. I will say that it is safe to assume that you can easilly get student rush tickets at any time prior to the performance.

what do you think my chances are for getting tickets at tkts for the last show?
the last show is almost sold-out(about 90% now). try for SRO. I'd say get there around 4:00 for SRO.

It's based on availability. If they are (close to) sold out, they will not have rush. They're not set aside seats nor do they have a particular location in the theatre. If they have a lot of seats open they will have full view side seats. If they are selling better it's usually the extreme sides that cause you to miss (Don and Maggie if you're on house left and Paul and Diana if you're on house right) the actors.
From what I understand the final performance is close to sold out. Everything else is the same as it has been for a while. That being said, do you think I could request a student rush seat in the mezz? For shows that have a lot of dancing I find that I get a better view of the dancing when I am higher up then I do when I am lower down in the orchestra?
Would this be a strange request or not?
I got 2 student rush tickets today at 2:30pm and they were located in the rear mezzanine, first row, (partial view). $35.00 tickets. Enjoy the show!
It depends on the box office. Sometimes when you ask for seats they say "It's whatever we have available".
actually for the past two weeks, the show's been selling very well(except on Sundays). SRO has been available for all Wed-Sat shows pretty much and I'd expect it to remain that way for the final week also.
I would say if you don't get Student Rush, just go for SRO, because I know you'd get a ticket that way.
I guess you could ask for a ticket in the mezz but I know when I went the mezzanine was full.

thank you everyone for the input. hopefully tomorrow they arent sold out. im just gonna see what they have and then if they dont have any ill just go to tkts
the show was totally sold out all week but there was a decent amount of rush sprinkled in there. no idea how early people showed up. today's matinee was only at about 85% and a lot of it was rush and TKTS
