If all this happens to be true, I think we should give them all a chance. A lot of us were quick to judge Corbin Bleu before he went on. He is now giving an incredible performance and really showed everyone on here that he is more than just a Disney Channel Star.
Lady Gaga as Maureen would actually make me contemplate buying a plane ticket to L.A.!
I'm glad I saw the show with its original cast.
And I'm glad I got to know the Larson family during the run of Tick Tick Boom at my theater. We'd talk about Jonathan almost every night, and how happy Al was with the casting of Raul.

I've been saying that since Day 1, but I think the sentiment is a lost cause.
Jane, the OBC was 14 years ago. Unfortunately they were the exception, not the rule.
I've met the Larson/McCollums too and think they're lovely people.

The first wave of replacements were really pretty good, too, like Jim Poulous and Marcy Harriell and Norbert when he was really skinny.
"Jane, the OBC was 14 years ago. Unfortunately they were the exception, not the rule. "
Exception, not the rule to what?
Exception to the middle-aged, bored and jaded cast who soullessly go through the motions and hit their marks for years on end.
Phyllis, they were. Somewhere post-millennium, it kind of fizzled out. The non-Equity tours were pretty good for awhile; a nice break from the same-old on Broadway, and actual young, penniless bohemian-types.
Phyll, those actors were also before the stunt casting started. I'm sure they were also great in the roles.

I'm so proud I started a thread that created such drama!
Like I said, I just report what I hear from cast members, so I would be very surprised if I was incorrect... This was not some rumor from a crazy theatre fan I met at a stage door.
But you never know what information changes as it goes through more people.
Lizzie- You are simply awesome.
BroadwayBound- I completely agree.
Lets just see the show before we bitch and moan about the casting. Neil Patrick Harris definitely has some sort of vision for the show. All we can do is see how well it pans out on the stage!
Doesn't really matter how much we bitch and moan on these boards, the show is still going to sell ridiculously well, and have a fantastic (albeit short) run!

I'm sure even in September people will still be bitching and moaning, and that'll just be from the segment of people who hadn't seen it.
And what would this place be like without any bitching and moaning?
Yawn.

^haha, I'm not sure, but I don't think the rumor got out *too* far beyond this thread, so maybe it was a direct response! :P
If so- HEY ADAM!
(jk, I'm sure he jut heard about it and hasn't actually been reading this thread lol)
This thread may have been where it originated, but it looks like it spread a bit on Twitter.

well, i guess he is doing something then.
The only reason I don't want GaGa is that I don't need alot of oddly dressed monsters running around the Bowl.
