I'm hoping Ms. Carmello and Mr. Mann still have their songs but I highly doubt it.
I'm curious to hear about this as well. I kept quiet during the Chicago run because I heard the show was being worked on (and quite frankly was too exhausted by it to offer an opinion). I found it completely underwhelming in every way, particularly the direction, which was nonexistent. Maybe Zaks will be a more forceful hand, but his work is more 101 DALMATIANS than GUYS & DOLLS these days.
Also, what was the consensus on Sergio Trujillo's choreography? Flavorless and generally unexciting, in my opinion.

I know they've scrapped the idea of having Moritia walk down that staircase in a red dress. The song will remain, however.

Carolee Carmello and Terrence Mann still have their songs, giant squid and all. There are several new songs, but they generally take the place of other songs in the earlier version instead of being straight add-ins.
Carolee's song Waiting MUST be kept in!! She sounded phenomenal when I saw it!!!!
I really hope "Pulled" is still in the show. I thought it was the most memorable song.

Has the show been significantly reworked? Or just minor revising?
I'm not in the know, but I'm sure any changes (despite a few new songs) won't amount to very much in the overall scope of things. However, if Zaks is able to fix the staging and Trujillo's choreography it will go a long way.
Dolly -- what song/dress are you speaking of? Was this an idea you are aware of the team having? I ask because in Chicago, there was a moment where Morticia made a dramatic entrance down a staircase, but it wasn't in a red dress and wasn't accompanied by a song.
ABB -- why the negativity about the changes? I understand that your concerns were more about the staging and choreography, but quite a few of the reviews -- even the many positive and encouraging ones -- noted that certain content needed re-working as well. So why the thinking that the new material "won't amount to very much"?
Mina -- I was intrigued to see who would post on this thread since the original poster was asking for information that would be known pretty much only to those working on the show. I therefore expected to see very little in the way of factual responses but yours seem to be stated as fact. Are you able to tell us what your involvement is with the show? And if so, or even if not, can you offer any more specifics on what the changes are?

I've only read the changes, not seen them, so I can't speak to staging or music or anything like that. Honestly, I'm waiting as impatiently as everyone else to see how/if the new parts work! I'd say the role that's gotten the most changes is Morticia, and Gomez has some new material as well.
Also, there are still 3 weeks until previews, so who knows what will happen in the rehearsal process. I get the sense that it's still very much a work in progress.

I really hope "Crazier Than You" is still in. That was my favorite.
Dollypop - what song are you talking about? I think the red dress was scrapped even in Chicago…I saw it the last week of it's run and I don't remember a red dress.
I would think Dolly is making a joke in reference to Hello, Dolly.

Red Dress, Stairs & Song = HELLO, DOLLY!
Wow. Did you really not get that? LOL
I love the cast for this show especially Jackie Hoffman as Grandmama. Also, her understudy is the very talented Valerie Fagan!
I can't wait. I hope there is a thing.
And of course my favorite Cousin it!!!!
SNAP SNAP.
Thing was in the show... but VERY briefly
