I'am currently doing a research project on Adolph Green and i am doing a presentation on the relationship between Adolph Green and Betty Comden I was wondering if anyone has any information on this. I have found some information but nothing too in depth if anyone could help me find this information I would greatly appreciate it. thanks
There was a superbly written article written after his death, and i beleive it was on this site..I'll try and find it for you when I have time a bit later tonight.

One of the longest running partnerships in theater. I'm sure they had their moments of stife, but try to find some footage of them being interviewed and watch how Betty Comden watches Adolph Green while he's speaking (and his every word was a performance). I think you'll understand the relationship instantly then.
I found it:

Comden wrote her autobiography "Off Stage" about two years ago that goes into her partnership with Green and provides tons of detail on the shows and films they did together. You can get it through Amazon or a good library.
i think She was a TOP.
They were Amazing together.
Off Stage was published in 1995, actually. As I mentioned in the off-topic thread, this book and the Judy Holiday biographies offer a lot of insight into Comden and Green's contributions to stage and screen as well as the evolution and endurance of their working relationship. There are lots of others. You really need to visit the library if you want to delve deeply.

You can get an overview of their working relationship from an interview in THE ART OF THE AMERICAN MUSICAL, available on Amazon and through the NYPL, if you live in NYC.
