Do you honestly think because two young women showed up in costume that this somehow "took away" from the overall experience for everyone else? Clearly, the cast and director were delighted by Mrs.LinkLarkin and her friend and didn't feel like anyone was trying to steal their thunder.
She had a wonderful time that she'll probably always remember, and you try to make her feel bad for it. Shame on you.

You two did look wonderful. I was expecting to see you in Penny's green dress, pigtails and a lollipop but you actually looked classy. Hey, it wasn't your fault that you ladies were hot and the press wanted to take your pictures!

I also thought, when first reading the post, that two girls in Hairspray clothing at the premiere would probably look like cartoons, but, God, you girls are GORGEOUS !!!

BJH sounds like a total ass... ladies... take it from me, a straight man as well... SEXY SEXY SEXY. :) You guys looked great. And not at all what I was expecting. I thought you were going to show up in full costumes straight out of the film. (Which by the way I still dont think there is anything wrong with that...)
Instead you opted for more modern clothes that resembled the style of the film and you looked very sexy. What a blast you guys must have had! And you got to meet the cast, etc etc... awesome.

Dressing up for fun is fine. I am not saying that. But go back and look at the part I quoted. To me, it just sounded as though they did it for attention. But, as long as she says they just did it for fun and the extra attention was simly a surprise perk, then fine. I didn't mean to sound bitter, I just hate it when people do stuff to get attention (a la Paris Hilton). If that was not the intention, however, I am extremely sorry for what I wrote. Forgive me.

You girls looked absolutely amazing and so pretty! Great job! I'm sure the cast and Shankman appreciated the fact you girls went through all the trouble to show your admiration for the film. Congratulations, those are some great pics and it looks like you both had a blast!! Thanks for sharing!

wow!! that looks like SO much fun - I'm super jealous and can't wait to see the movie (and hairspray isn't even one of my favorite musicals, but the movie looks AMAZING)
