Burstein, Hecht, & Shamos to star in AWAKE & SING - MTC (Dec. 2026) Jun 1 2026, 07:23:52 PM

Assuming things are consistent with the last revival and she'll be considered in the Featured category, she'll have some stiff competition from Allison Janney.

Encores 2027: You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Hallelujah, Baby!; Kiss of the Spider Woman May 1 2026, 12:40:40 PM

I assume you're right that Encores will cast it that way, but that's not what the poster I replied to said. They said Jasmine was "not latin enough" for a role (not for a specific production). And that's just silly considering Aurora is has been played by women of every imaginable background.

Ah yes... Vanessa Williams... famously Latin enough...

Disney Broadway Concerts at Epcot - Anyone Gone? Nov 12 2025, 03:04:25 PM
Normally I could take or leave the performers who they get, but this year Susan Egan and Ainsley Melham are performing, so I will be there with bells on. (I'm an Annual Passholder, and I echo the sentiments of not buying a park ticket just for this. But if you're already going and there are performers you are particularly fond of, it's a fun way to spend part of the evening at a really great EPCOT festival.)

I really feel like Cooper makes more sense as Olive and Rogers makes more sense as Rona, so I'll be very curious to see how they embody their actual roles.

Camille A. Brown only choreographed Gypsy, so I hardly think she’s to blame for its relatively paint-by-numbers direction. I didn’t get the chance to see it, but by many accounts, her production of for colored girls… that she hel

Jasmine strikes me as more of a Rona Lisa than an Olive, but either way I'm THRILLED to have her back on stage so soon.

To be fair, I don't know that I'd consider Barbra one of the greatest BROADWAY performers of all time. I'd consider he one of the greatest performers of all time, without the qualifier. I'd say she gave one of the singular great Broadway perfo

Jamie Lloyd-helmed EVITA revival to play the London Palladium in 2025 Aug 1 2025, 07:33:20 PM
In this clip, it sounds like Patti is a half-step higher than Rachel's version, but on the OBCR, Patti is in the same key as Rachel is here. So either that Youtube clip of Patti is so warped that it sounds higher than it actually is, or Patti sung it a half-step higher live than she did on the recording.

I guess I'm skeptical that there will BE a "whatever she brings to Broadway next"...

Is this a thing we do for all Tony winners on here? Seems like we'd have a ton of individual threads if we started one for every Tony-winner just for funzies. Not saying you can't be a fan of hers or want to follow her career. It just seems super arb
