As I understand, the first preview was about 2:15. Then it was chopped to 2:00. So I was pretty surprised tonight when I was handed my Playbill and was told by the usher that the show would be 90 minutes, no intermission.
I can't say what was cut since I didn't see any earlier previews, but the Judge Judy thing that was mentioned a few times was no longer there.
Michael comes out and does his thing for a few numbers, then Dame Edna does. After that, they have an argument and "put on a show" together.
The concept is relatively funny, but the execution is pretty awful. HOWEVER: Feinstein has a beautiful voice and Dame Edna is hilarious. When they do their own things, they are great. When they get together, it's pretty corny and campy, but it still manages to pull some big laughs.
So it's hardly anything great, but I still do thing it's a pretty good time at the theater. This was my first experience with both, so I can't really comment on how this compares with their other stuff.
