It's time for Brandon, Kate and Ray's weekly party...
MOSTLY SONDHEIM!

TYLER MAYNARD, 2005 Theatre World Award winner for his performance in ALTAR BOYZ, will be LIVE at The Duplex THIS FRIDAY, May 27th, to entertain the MOSTLY SONDHEIM crowd!

It's THE MOST OBSCURE SONG CONTEST.
How does it work?
Pull out those trunk songs because the person who sings the most obscure song gets his or her drinks for free... ALL NIGHT LONG. The audience votes around 2am, so you have three hours to get there and present your best!!!

If you've never been to MOSTLY SONDHEIM, it's an open-mic, musical theatre party from 11pm-ish to 4am-ish every Friday at The Duplex.

i can't believe i wasn't the first to reply to this. hahahah! "Free??" *does a little Altar Boyz shuffle* i have trouble singing this week but i'll do my utmost to be there! hope to see some of you bww people!!

Should I assume that, while there's no drink minimum, there's still an age minimum? I've always wanted to go, and this is all the more reason! Anyone confirm what the age/ID deal is at the Duplex?
For those of you who go, bring back details about Tyler :)

Hey loves--
For those of you who have posted or emailed me with inquiries, you do have to be 21 to get into The Duplex. I know... I know... All I can say is that I had a fake when I was in your shoes!
Saw Tyler last night. I think he's bringing some special guests with him. NOT TO BE MISSED!!! I also spoke with Daniel Torres last night and he said he may just visit The Duplex tonight, too! Looks like it's going to be a very fun and crazy night.

okay so i apologize, no pictures. i also apologize to Tyler for showing up right when he was done. i was there at 11 but i was supposed to meet Carymetorent and she and Ga(?) won the Q lotto so they were running late. instead of going in by myself which weirds me out, i went to visit one of my best friends who's a bouncer on bleeker st.
in the end when everyone arrived we went inside and dropped in on Tyler but when we got in the door he went "guuuuys, i just finished...! these are my altar boyz fans everyone." and then we shrugged and said "well now you have to sing another one." he ended up doing a duet with a friend of his who's got an out-of-this-world voice too! they sung "I'd Give it All For You" and this was the first time i heard Tyler sing something in such an intimate setting and using a deeper voice than the higher range he does with "Mark." he was incredible! (of course right? LOL) i wish you all could have been there. it was definately a different experience from ABz and even Broadway Boys. he felt really bad that we came to see him and he was done but we were all cool with it. we chatted a bit outside the Duplex and then he hugged us all good night and left to catch the trains.
glad to see you girls again! and Tyler of course, is always a joy!
