I finally got "The Last 5 Years" and "Tick, Tick...Boom!". Both are amazing!!!! Especially L5Y, Sherie and Norbert are great. I think I like L5Y more but TTB is great too. I hear alot of Rent in TTB. My favorites from L5Y are

Glad you love ttB! L5Y has been on my look-into list but I've heard lots of good things about it, so I may go ahead and buy it.

I completely agree. Actually, for the first time in two weeks, I'm listening to something other than bare (my roommate would be so proud) and I put in TL5Y. It's one of my favorites, as is tick, tick BOOM. I love Louder Than Words most, but I love the ones you listed too. Glad you enjoyed them.

I have been listening to L5Y non-stop for more than a year now. Its one of the best (if not the best) cast recordings i have ever heard. I just can't get tired of this show.

I liked, but not loved L5Y since I bought it. Then, I went and saw it and now I love it..........BUT ttb is still my favorite out of the two. Love it!!!

Just useless trivia here, but TTB was written before RENT so you hear a little TTB in RENT.

I'm glad you liked them! I've never heard L5Y (though I've always wanted to), but TTB is one of my favorite recordings. I love the music so much, especially "Louder than Words" and "30/90".

hello all! i, too, am in love with both of these shows. jonathan larson is my savior...he is just amazing. and L5Y is fabulous...i love norbert!! all of the songs you guys mentioned are a-m-a-z-i-n-g..if you don't have these cd's yet you MUST add them to your collection!

i acutally cried the first time i listened to L5Y. i love jason robert brown, look into songs for a new world! tick tick boom is amazing, i love louder than words!

I never got into either one of them. I love Rent and Parade, but those two just didn't do it for me. I listened to them several times, but I can't remember a single tune.

I didn't cry the first time I heard it because I didn't listen to it all in one sitting. Then, once I did, the tears were definitely rolling. L5Y is amazing...I got it for my friend for her birthday, and now she loves it too. Its just beautiful! Tick Tick Boom never fails to get stuck in my head. I especially like Sunday, 30/90, Why and Sugar because its so damn catchy. For some reason I don't really like "Louder Than Words" very much.
