#1AMERICAN IDIOT: Question about Tunny (spoiler?)

Saw the tour of American Idiot last night in Los Angeles. Just wondering if any of the actors who have played Tunny are real-life amputees?
When we first see Tunny in his underwear, both of his legs looked real to me, so I kept wondering how they pulled off the amputated leg effect. Anyone know?
As an aside, the actor who played him (Scott J. Campbell) kept reminded me of Channing Tatum.

I can tell you with 99% certainty that no one who has played the part has been a real amputee. I think that would seriously impact some of the rather strenuous things the actor has to do earlier in the show - though I wouldn't object to making some alterations if an otherwise qualified amputee tried out for the part. (Of course that goes for any other role, too.)
As for the effect, I think that's a really good question. My hunch is that the apparently uninjured leg is fake, and that the actor is in a kneeling position, with both of his (real) legs tucked underneath the gurney or the wheelchair. But I'd love to hear from someone who can confirm or deny that.
