Whatever happened to standing room, rush, and lottery tickets hovering around $20?? Raising the prices to $30, $40, and even $49 plus a service fee that can be up to $5 doesn't even make the whole thing worth it. Obviously I understand that producers do this because they can and people and crazy fans and tourists will pay...but, what happened to making there be an affordable way for New Yorkers or those with less funds able to see the shows without breaking the bank. Mostly venting and hoping...

Tootsie comes to mind. Not that I absolutely loved it, but the score is so forgettable but I had a good night out at the theatre and enjoyed the sum of the whole show more than its parts. I seriously could not name you a single song from Tootsie. I did not think the music was bad during the show-it aided the show and showed us character development and plot points, just nothing I'm going to listen to on the train or whatever.

Hoping Bonnie Milligan is remembered!!

Saw the Tuesday matinee today and was just in awe. It was my second time and I loved it even more than my first visit. Bernadette is just such a gift and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Victor has definitely grown as Horace and Bernadette kept cracking him up-particularly during the downstage center dinner with the beets and dumplings, which was so charming and the audience ate it up.
