Anthony Rapp is appearing in a cabaret-style show called THE JOE ICONIS ROCK AND ROLL JAMBOREE. Jan 5th at The Laurie Beechman Theater at 8pm.
The gig is a showcase of sorts of Iconis' tunes. He's a really awesome up and coming musical theater writer. He has different guests at each show. Anthony is at the one on the 5th! Krysta Roderiguez from Spring Awakening is at the ones on Jan 13th and 19th! Also at the one on the 6th is Cortney Wolfson. I duno if anyone has seen her on the U of Mich MT channel on Youtube...if not, you should check it out (username - UrInTown). She is awesome.

Oh no, god forbid somebody joins to post something interesting. Yeash, it's not like another I *heart* Wicked thread was started! I'm sorry but I hate when people use that word over and over for every new person. Ok, end rant.
I really wish I could see this. I love Joe Iconis an Anthony Rapp. I hope someone goes and writes a review.

By all means, shill away. It certainly doesn't bother me. Then again, neither do threads on "I *heart* Wicked", or duplicates to things that haven't been discussed for a month or more.
I'm just trying to be helpful. If the poster doesn't even know what a shill is, they're unlikely to understand that message board posters are cynical and less receptive to their posts.

Ah....so this is what he'll be doing on January 5th.
He was supposed to be doing "Without You" in Pittsfield, MA January 3-5 but cancelled....

Jim, did you have tickets to the MA gig? I'm sorry he cancelled, that sucks for Pittsfield. I wonder why he cancelled though? He could have done the Joe Iconis show on one of the other dates...it seems odd that he'd cancel his own pre-existing gig to do it. Maybe there's another reason too.

Craww, oh I see. Sorry you think I'm some sort of schemer. I did have an account a few years ago but I've since changed my email, which is why I made a new account to post this. And I don't work for Joe Iconis or anything, but I do want more people to know about him cuz his music is awesome and not only does it deserve to be heard, people deserve to hear it. But yes, I do forget how cynical people are. I'm a ridiculous idealist. Seriously. I initially thought "sup shill" was a friendly slang greeting. Anyway, no hard feelings. :) And I'm sorry you can't go! That's a shame. I will def review, and hopefully others who are going will too.
