ASSASSINS question...
#0ASSASSINS question...
Posted: 3/3/04 at 3:07pmDoes ASSASSINS have an intermission, and if so when during the performance does it occur? On the CD there is no indication of an act one or an act two...is it just a one act show? How odd...

The original was in one act. Whether an interval has been added is yet to be seen.
Many shows are done in one act: A Chorus Line, Pippin and Follies to name three biggies.

Yes it is worth seeing for any number of reasons even if you don't like it.
As with nearly all Sondheim it is quite smartly written. Granted the topic is not the most appetizing.
If you are serious about theatre in general and musicals in particular, you really need to get into the habit of seeing them all which alas, includes the ones you know will be stinkers. You've got to see the lousy ones to appreciate the good ones.
Look at the cast!
This is the first NY production since the original which was seen by very few people by comparison.
Go.
