The cast of All Shook Up will be performing on the Today show on Friday, March 11th.

After seeing them in the Macy's Parade, I'm curious to see more of this show. And this'll be my only chance since I'm not anywhere near New York.

I haven't seen anything posted about this yet, so I just thought I'd let y'all know.

Alrighty. I got up early for Idina and Jennifer and I will sure as hell get up early for Cheyenne!

of course it's at 9 in the freakin morning down here when the Today show comes on.

bwayballerina--definitely watch it (and if you get any chance to go to New York, do). I saw it in previews in Chicago, and it was very fun.

yay thanks for the heads up! i might go down and see it! does anyone know what time shows tend to perform?

also,munkustrap, i'm doing a paper now on Brandon Teena. so i have to go rent Boys Dont Cry. I was going to see it anyway, since i heard it was a good movie and hilary was good in it. i know the subject matter, but is it too depressing? like is the thing that leads to his murder really graphic?

FrancisGumm: That's really interesting that you're writing a paper on her. I knew nothing about her or the movie, other than that it was based on a true story - I didn't even know that she died at the end. It's a very very rough and emotional movie. Some problems directorial/screenplay-wise, but Swank and Chloe Sevigny are FANTASTIC (both nominated for Oscars, Swank won.) The murder itself isn't all the graphic as much as it is overwhelmingly sad and depressing. However, from when people find out that he's really a she up until her death, it's pretty graphic and suggestive. It's not hard to watch because of what they show, it's hard to watch because by that point you have grown so involved in her life and you feel so compassionate for her that you can't believe that what you're watching actually happened to a human being. It's one of my favorite movies, and Swank gives the performance of a lifetime (and she was only paid $3,000 for the movie!!) Enjoy it, and let me know what you think.
