Actor's Equity strike?

I heard about this on the news a lot in an interview with Stephanie D'Abruzzo. I find that sad. I'm happy I got to see Wicked (for the 3rd time) before the strike.

Just need to correct this.

If Actors Equity strikes, all it's members strike. It doesn't break down by contract.

Let's all cross our fingers.

It CAN break down by contract and has in the past. They don't HAVE to call a general strike by the full membership if they don't want to, and at this time at least, there's no indication that they're planning to pull more than the 1200 members who work on Broadway and in the 11 current Equity tours.

Again, I think Margo is correct.
