Actors Fund performance of Kinky Boots

I had the pleasure of attending the Actors Fund Performance of Kinky Boots last night. I had last seen the show Labor Day weekend. It was great to see it again. It was a high energy performance as I have found at most Actors Fund performance. I think it is great that they do these. I got to BOM this way this year.

No understudies and everyone was in great form. Billy and Stark especially seemed in top form. I just thought Billy was on fire last night. In great voice. When I had seen it back in May, I felt that Billy's voice was a bit rough the first 30 minutes of the show but last night it was on spot.

All in all a great performance. Billy made a very nice speech at the end regarding how the Actors fund helped with a kidney transplant with a cast member and how they supported Billy when he was off Broadway for so long.

Glad you enjoyed it and got to see everyone. As noted previously, Billy was out earlier in the weekend.... but I believe everyone makes a real effort to be there for an Actors Fund Show (for any show). Nice to hear what the Actors Fund actually does and how it specifically helped people here. I agree that Actor's Fund shows are usually fabulous.

I haven't seen KB for a while. I need to go again...
