Not only was he nominated for an Olivier award for origniating Tony Manero, but he was also in a film called "Bootmen" which loosely told the story of the dance troop, Tapdogs. Adam Garcia, tight wifebeater, tap dancing... on big pieces of metal. The movie was released in Australia, but I rented it somewhere back in 2001 so I know you can find it in the states.

hahaha there is also an unrated version of Coyote Ugly on dvd (just fyi)...where that scene in the bedroom is extended

If it wasn't official beforehand, Australians are definitely taking over the West End...and I LOVE it.
Chelsea Plumbley (also an Aussie and the sweetest woman on the planet) was being seriously considered and trialed for Glinda. So, here's hoping...
We are a talented bunch, aren't we? There must be something in the water down-under
"...But Kungurtseva reels off multiple fouettes and the tape is stopped so she can take a bow. The Jester, an abomination introduced to Swan Lake in Soviet times, extorts applause from the audience. The cuts don't help the storytelling, the production is bare bones and they go for the '50s-style happy ending.
The audience cheers like mad at the end. It's the Russian ballet, after all..."

There was some talk of Adam Garcia doing DIRTY DANCING in the West End just a few months ago, obviously the better show won.
Didn't he originally go to the UK with HOT SHOE SHUFFLE ? I think so. He is much prettier than Idina!
