It has been confirmed today (26 April) that ADAM GARCIA will star as ‘Fiyero’ in the forthcoming London production of WICKED at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.
ADAM GARCIA created the role of ‘Tony Manero’ in the stage premiere of Saturday Night Fever at the London Palladium in 1998 for which he received an Olivier Award nomination as ‘Best Actor in a Musical’. Most recently he starred as ‘Chip’ in On The Town for English National Opera at the London Coliseum. Adam helped develop the role of ‘Fiyero’ in the 2002 workshop of WICKED in New York.
On television Adam has most recently been seen in Doctor Who: The Christmas Invasion, watched by over 9 million people on Christmas Day 2005; Agatha Christie’s Marple: The Body in the Library, and as Vaslav Nijinsky in Kevin Elyot’s Riot at the Rite.
His most recent film, Standing Still, in which Adam stars opposite
James Van Der Beek and Amy Adams, has just been released in the U.S.
ADAM GARCIA joins previously announced IDINA MENZEL who will recreate her Tony® Award-winning Broadway performance as ‘Elphaba’ for a limited season. In an article announcing her casting on Friday 21 April, the Daily Mail described Idina as “a powerhouse performer the like of which has not been seen on a London stage in a long time.”

YAY! This is getting exciting now...I'm more excited about seeing this than Take That and McFly put together.
Our cast is looking very good. I just hope they cast a good Glinda now.

I got Coyote Ugly on DVD, Saturday Night Fever Cast Album, and made a big collage from pictures I printed off the internet! This is so amazing since (this may have already been mentioned) he was involved in a workshop or two of Wicked back at the very beginning! The first place I ever heard of Wicked was on his website back in like 2001. AAAHHHH!! How much are plane tickets to London?!
