Adam Pascal and Disney's Tarzan workshop

Has anyone else seen this? The link is below. I thought they had Matthew Morrison lined up to do it, but I'd love to see Adam do another show. I just love him! What a voice.... I really hope this works out. First the Emcee, now a loincloth. Sits well with me!

ooh sorry... in my excitement I completely missed that. A lot of singing then... nice. How often to casts from workshops carry over to the actual show?

My question: Who's playing the Mama Ape, voiced by Glenn Close in the cartoon? Please, not Beth Fowler in a gorilla suit, warbling "Don't Grunt Out Loud."

Glibness aside, that pre-Jane material will be a challenge to put on the stage, though it was the heart/soul of the cartoon, whatever its other merits. It could so easily become an ice show. Which Disney has already produced, with a goose-bump sporting 'Zan.

I can't believe this ridiculous thing is still happening. Adapting the book itself would be respectable BUT A DISNEY ANIMATED MOVIE?!?! Another one on Broadway? It's just horrible.

i can see him singing some of those phil collin songs. i thinkn his voice would be very cool with those songs!

You mean Adam AND Matt on the same show together ?????? God, can you tell me when this is happening, so I can plan my next trip to New York ? This is like a fantasy come true for me !!! I just hope I will be able to contain myself and not jump on the stage from fake tree to fake tree, chasing either one of them LOL

oh man! I can't believe these two broadwat cuties (Matt & Adam) / hunks are going to Broadway at the same time in the same show!!!!!!!!! Oh My God!!!!!! I will really DIE to go to Broadway now!!!!!!!! Why can't these coll things happen in London!!!!!

I agree with BrdwyThtr--it could turn out to be a great show, or experience- what with the whole theater becoming the jungle environment could be something new and inventive.

I think a great approach would be to have Pascal play an older Tarzan looking back on his teenage years meeting Jane and their adventures together, telling the audience what he felt inside, but wasn't able to express.

Did anyone watch the Tarzan series on TV that was cancelled? Thoughts?

I always wanted Disney to bring Newsies to broadway but it won't happen. re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: Adam Pascal and Disney's Tarzan workshop I agree that they have better shows than Tarzan to adapt for the stage. I personally think Song of the South would be good on Broadway, but then again Disney banned it because it was seen as a bad image, but I think it could find its place on Broadway I don't know. I think it would be interesting how they would pull off the animals, but I like it. Anyone else have a Disney show they'd like to see on stage?
