SexyMelvin: I see you are new here so i will give you the benefit of the doubt. In here, people generally give specific details .. He did nothing for you? Did you not like his singing or his acting? Did you see someone else in it and prefer their performace better? His Roger was 'gay'? Now i didnt see him in RENT so i cant comment. Did you think he played it homosexual or are you using the word 'gay' as derrogatory? Because i assure you that wont be tolerated by much people in here. Again you dont HAVE to like him. But saying 'i thought it was gay' doesnt cut it.

Sorry, that wasn't me. I have a younger sister who frequently posts on my computer. I just didn't like his singing. I don't think he was gay in a derogatory sense or in a homosexual way. His singing and acting just don't blow me away.

Well, Rent was his theatrical debut, wasn't it? To me, that's pretty impressive for a threatrical debut. I believe at the time he barely had any vocal training too. I was impressed. Updated On: 6/27/04 at 12:04 AM

And yeah... I'm pretty sure he was in that "I wanna be a rock star" phase, and just sort of ended up in Rent as a fluke. I think a friend suggested that he audition or something.

Yeah thats what i heard too. To think that this was his raw talent, no training or anything, just singing along to his CDs/tapes/radio, i am so impressed. The thing i like, which is also what others dont like, is that he still has that rock edge in his voice. I dont know how to describe it. Its rough at times, and sometimes he.. i dont know .. growls? haha. for lack of a better word. It just different from what you usually hear on broadway yet still great.

That's what I like about him...he has an edge to him. Plus, he can really belt those notes...he sings one HELL of a "Pity the Child."

At Seth's Chatterbox, Adam said that Idina's boyfriend actually made him audition for Rent! They went to high school together.

I love this man...I was so impressed with him in Cabaret. He took such a huge risk with that role. The three times I saw him in Aida, I loved his performance every time. So much energy. (Cheyenne Jackson kicked him out of the spot he had as my favorite Radames, though)

I love his voice, but having never seen him, I can't comment on his acting. I like the rockish-edge, it's different.

Many in the audience the day I saw Cabaret were shocked when Adam revealed himself in the kickline. I knew it was him right away!

I only saw Will Chase in AIDA, he was great (ill be seeing adam in it on Friday). I wish there could be a longer list of people who played Radames so there is more to compare to.
