We seriously need him back on Broadway now! We miss you, Adam!

I really hope he does eventually come back to Broadway. I hate this whole LA thing.

..but I do love the tour thing, thanks Adam.

Haha, the tone of this thread changed really fast.

Um, hometown crowd represent.

I have no idea what to say. I may go into hiding.

I haven't been on here in a LONG time, but it's nice to read about Adam touring. I couldn't help but notice reading through this thread that Adam visits this site now...? I remember Fredi did, and of course WhiteboySpice (did he ever come back?), but not Adam. Anywho, I'm just wondering what his username is, just to notice when he's around...I'm not a stalker in the least!

Ok, back to my 8 1/2 months preggo misery...ugh.

Kass, he just mentions in his concert that he reads chatrooms. Like he does this bit where he compares the internet to his puppy. But he can't just not read them. I don't think he's referred to BWW specifically, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

He apparently read the negative review from this thread (a few posts above my gushing one) to the crowd Monday night in a snobby British accent. He definitely reads BWW, or at least this thread.

Anthony's sort of migrated over to MySpace, for the time being. He may still check his messages here every now and again, but I don't think he's really read the boards in quite a while.

WHAT? I missed that. Reactions?

Reactions from us or from him? He supposedly sounded amused. I think all of us are freaking out a bit, or at least were last night.

lol did he read my review to the crowd? That's so funny. I don't think I fall under his analogy of a puppy who loves him and then bites-I never really was a fan of his work. I just thought I'd give him a chance since he had been on Broadway. I'd love to hear what he said about my critiques of his performance

I don't think he was referring to you as a puppy who loves him and then bites, so to speak, just an example of how he wishes he didn't look at posts on the internet because they can come back to bite him (but he obviously looks in spite of that). Like I said, he supposedly read it in a snobby British professor accent, so I'm assuming he was more amused than legitimately offended. I'm sure he realizes that not everyone is going to enjoy his work. And hell, maybe you even boosted Larry's ego a bit. I'm sure he needs it considering all the girls who fawn over Adam. re: Adam Pascal concert review

lol I just felt the need to be honest about how I felt about his performance. I'm glad he didn't take offence. He is a nice guy-I just don't care for his style of singing.

I can see how artists wouldn't want to look at posts on the internet, but I think I would be too curious not to look. It is always intersting to see what people think-especially when you have the change to change things

Lol Larry was cute-he just needs to have a bit more confidence when he sings-I loved how clear his voice was.

I meant from him and the audience. Were you at the Monday night one? How did someone know it was that post?

Thanks for all the reviews everyone, but it would be even better if Adam came to Chicago so I could see a concert for myself.

*Hint,hint Adam, I know you're reading this*

Hi all,

This is my first post (clearly)- I didn't even know who Adam Pascal was until about 2 weeks ago. I am living in NY for the month and thought it would be a good idea to go see some Broadway shows before going back home- Rent was the first one I went to see with my roommate. I rented the movie version a few days later to see who the OBC was, and an internet search for Adam's cd led me to various sites, one of which was an advertisement for his current tour.

So- I went to the Monday performance at the Metropolitan Room. I thought it was fantastic, personally, this being the first time I had ever heard him sing live. Larry Edoff was great as well, and I thought the two worked/sang very well together. Funny enough, my favorite song was one that hasn't been released yet (Single Drop of You).

He did read the post from Zenachick, and it was in the British accent- it got a huge laugh from the crowd (and incidentally, I came to this board to read the post myself afterward). His point seemed to be more that he's not a chat-room, message board kind of person..... yet when he knows they exist and that people are discussing his performances etc., it's almost impossible not to want to see what people are saying. He did seem amused by the whole thing, though I can't say whether he was offended. There was some definite sarcasm as he read it.

Well worth the cover charge and two-drink minimum. My only regret was not having stuck around to try to meet him and tell him how inspirational he was. I am deploying to Iraq soon and will be gone for a long while. He finished with "Glory" and it brought tears to my eyes, it reminds me of the friends I've lost in the war thus far.

Anyhow- to each his own, I wasn't at the other performances and can't make comments on those- Monday night's, however, was great.

One more thing I thought was interesting- he sings a song about his wife ("Cybele") and says it's the only song he's ever written for/about her. I wonder, then, what inspires him to write love songs. He also mentioned that the song came about when he was "nearly" thrown out of the house after an argument. I laughed hard at this one, I'm married and can identify with the irony of it.

God Bless-

Medic, thanks so much for your review. I'm glad you were so touched by his performance.

The song he sung for his wife is definitely not the only song he's ever written about her. He used to sing a song called "Mesmerized" at some of his shows a few years ago and dedicate it to her. He never recorded it, though; I think, as he said at the Sunday show, it took him a while to write a song that he felt was right.

And, for what it's worth, he's probably still reading this thread and saw what you had to say about his performance, even if you didn't speak to him in person. :)

That must have been what he meant, then- in all honesty, there were two girls near me who were talking almost the whole time and I'm sure I missed part of the intro to that song. At one point, Adam actually made a comment to them (something like "did you guys like my guitar solo? I worked really hard on that.")- this got a laugh as well, it seemed he truly enjoyed being up there and performing. This is what I liked most. I've been to so many huge concerts, small performances and everything in between, but very few performers actually seem to be engaged in the moment.

I have definitely missed out on what I'm sure have been great performances by Adam over the years. I did buy one of his cd's (I'm kicking myself for not having bought Larry's) so I suppose I can do some catching-up.

The guy actually (scarily) reminds my of my older brother (voice, resemblance, mannerisms etc).

Thanks for the info, by the way.

re: Adam Pascal concert review

The concert last night was amazing! He told us we were quiet, lol. Here are some pictures. I also met him too. Those pictures are in my mom's camera. And I found out that my mom's, friend's husband went to high school with Adam and knew him. He was also at the concert and was basically the only male who took a picture with him (that I know of). I also got a hug. re: Adam Pascal concert review

It was my first and best concert. I was in row b, so everything was perfect. It's amazing how a voice such as his could all come out of one mouth. I really wouldn't be able to tell him live or cd. I loved how he reacted with the audiences reactions. If he's playing near go, go see him, you will not be disapointed.
