I'm going on FRIDAY!!!!!!!! ROW B!!!!!!!!! I'm so freakin' excited! YAY!
Have fun! I'm sure it'll be totally awesome.
Thanks so much Lexi! Awesome review. God, I'm so jealous. I'm glad he was really sweet though.. I guess he's been turning up the charm lately. His smile is gorgeous in that pic you cropped yourself out of :)

Bought my front row tickets the other day for the 28th ... going with a friend ... can't wait! Tix aren't selling well like at all, but I'm hoping that sales will pick up over the next couple weeks. The theatre he's at here is a bit less than 800 seats, and so far, row A and most of B is sold for the 27th, and only most of row A for the 28th.
Does he do a meet n greet after every concert; do you know? I am gonna wait for him nonetheless, so just wondering :).

Sorry to hear his San Francisco shows aren't selling well. There's no way he'll sell out 800 seats two nights in a row (why did they BOOK him two nights in a row?), but I hope he ends up having at least a decent turnout. Have a good time, though!
Only some venues book him for an "official" meet and greet, as it costs more money, but even if there isn't a scheduled M&G, you can probably find him after the show. Out of all his tour stops this year, I think he hasn't come out to sign autographs after only one of them, so the odds are with you.

Yikes, that is a BIG theater.

I also went to the Wheelock performace, and I admit at being one of those hyper fangirls you were referring to. I always get way overexcited and crazy, but I at least wasn't wearing a RENT shirt. =)
I got an autograph and said "Hi, thanks for doing this," during the meet and greet thing. I was about to leave through the doors when I turned around and shouted "I loved the Chorus Line thing!" It was sort of embarrasing, but he laughed.
I also noticed the foam RENT sign, that was weird...
I'm glad everyone who went to his shows had fun! Great pictures!

Wait, catsuit, were you at the Metropolitan show, too? Anyway, I really dislike the term "fangirl," because honestly, don't we all have a bit of fangirl within us? It's not that I dislike when people are hyper and excited - hell, I was incredibly excited. Rather, it irritates me (and I think all relatively mature fans) when girls will not stop taking pictures for just a few minutes (the guy's looks aren't going to change within the course of an hour), holding their camera phones high so they can get grainy pictures of him, and yell out the most inane things possible to try to get some reaction. I just tried to ignore it last night and focus on the show itself, but it's truly frustrating.
As a whole, though, the crowd was much better than I was expecting. Hopefully the Queens crowd will be the same way.

Aren't the tickets for the San Francisco shows like $80? Adam's cool...but no.

That's for "premium" seating. The other tickets are $35 and $45, I think.

Siamese Dream-
I was only at the Boston Show. Yes, I agree, we all do have a bit of a "fangirl" in us. =)
I sort of wish he hadn't said it was okay to take pictures, because it was REALLY obnoxious after a while. I didn't even bring a camera because I was sure it wouldn't be allowed.

I was sitting in the back of the orchestra, and during One Song Glory, the ENTIRE orchestra section had cameras out. It was so funny to look around and see all these lights from the cameras.
Last night the venue said no flash photography, but people did it anyway and he didn't say anything -- which he WOULD have if he were pissed. I was going to try to snag a few, but I was afraid to use my flash. It's very bright. The place was so tiny, though, that even an average strength flash just kind of reverberated all over the room and was really irritating. So even if he doesn't mind anymore, I understand why they didn't want photos being taken there.

Our space was pretty big- maybe about 500 (and probably about 400 were filled) so, while the flashes were annoying, they weren't so distracting.

My tix were $53 (45 + 8 service), which is quite reasonable in this day and age. There's no way I'd pay 93 for a solo concert of a Broadway star ... unless it was Liza, Kristin, Patti, Elaine, or a big-time musical theatre artist like that. Or if the proceeds went to charity :).
Between 700 and 800 seats is not huge for a theatre, considering most major houses seat a lot more. The Post Street Theatre (where he's playing) is an awesome old venue from 1924 that originally seated 1,000 when it was an old assembly hall for the Elks. In 1981, it was re-designed and now seats 729.
Not huge as theaters go; I didn't mean that. But huge as far as a venue where he's played before.

OK ... got it.
My first post, woohoo! Anyway, I attended the show last night at the Metropolitan Room. I was a little worried about horror stories I had heard (it turning into teen girl palooza.) but it actually wasn't bad. There was a nice mix of age groups. This was my first time seeing him perform, and although the venue was very small (I kept getting hit as the servers went by with drinks) I thought it was cozy and nice. Everyone had a great upfront view of Adam. He performed well, but I agree with others, the room was too small for his vocals, so that screwed it a little bit, but still awesome. Jesse showing up was awesome as well. I agree w/ the picture taking. I tried getting some w/ no flash towards the end. It did bother me a little that he uses the same bits in each show. I understand it, but it was like word for word, lol. It's all good, not everyone read the reviews beforehand like me, so they got a good chuckle. Jesse was great and very polite before and after the show with fans. No one really knew Adam was signing unless they went to the bathroom. He was very sweet and kind with each person. Very cool. I was definitely impressed!
Thanks for all the reviews & pictures. Sounds like everybody had a great time
I'm going to attempt to post a pic, so if it's not there, sorry!

Oy. Kristin?

Kristin Chenoweth ... so awesome. Oh, and Linda Eder ad Michael Ball are two more I'd pay that much for. I've seen Michael once before, and he's a really fun performer (and immensly talented). One of my absolute favorites,
Thanks so much for the review!
