so apparently adam lambert's second album came out on march 18th but I haven't seen anything on youtube.
I just got to say, I think adam lambert has SOO much talent, and his range is unearthly. aka Wicked and American Idol. but I feel like he threw it all away in his first album.
seriously, what is this crap?

yeah, we could totally feel what you're talking about adam... not.
I mean seriously, this is why Adele walked away with 6 grammys, because she is the ONLY contemporary artist that composes music we can relate to. seriously, sometimes, actually alot of the time, when I'm listening to the radio I ask myself "How the hell did this song make it on the radio?" and another thing I would like to add, most of the artists on the radio aren't even singing, they are just talking!
I do like a few songs from his first album. especially
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sd1cI5Lqv8E&feature=related
which I think should have gotten more attention.
I've listened to a few previews of songs in his second album and they sound crappy. "better than I know myself" is alright.
if anyone wants to see for themselves on youtube, the new album is called "trespassing"

Wicked, he was hired as the understudy for the role of Fiyero in addition to being an ensemble member in the first national touring production of the musical from 2005, and the Los Angeles production from 2007
you can find it on youtube

Just to prepare you, Mcdjustin: others will tell you a national tour is NOT a "Broadway" credit.
Personally, I loved Lambert's first album; but I'm about 30 years beyond the target demo and that may be a problem.

@gaveston2
Oh, well thanks for enlightening me. I thought they were the same thing.
I just figured since he's a talented performer and all, his music would be just as great.

Posted: 3/23/12 at 10:11pmIsn't this the first album he recorded that he didn't want released pre Idol and the label that owns it sued to get it released? Or was that something different...

Posted: 3/23/12 at 10:16pmThat was a diferent cd, and it's available at Target for like 8 bucks. It doesn't even have a picture of him on the cover, just his name.

I think his first album was good. I liked a great number of songs on the album and thought they showed his range very well. You have to remember he is a pop artist.
Also I strongly disagree that Adele is the ONLY contemporary artist we can relate to. She just had excellent marketing and word of mouth. I never really caught on to her music like that (congrats to her on all her success though).
I think he's doing just fine. He should definitely be brought onto Broadway in the future. His voice is amazing.

He's got one official release out, For Your Entertainment, as well as two albums, Take One and Beg for Mercy, which were studios he recorded a long time ago that were released by the label without his participation.
He's got a few gigs with Queen coming up this summer, as their lead singer.
Not sure if he'll ever do Broadway, his acting skills aren't quite up to the level of his singing ability.
But I'd LOVE to see him play Molina in a production of Kiss of the Spider Woman!

Surely Lambert can act as well as Clay Aiken.
(Not an Aiken hater here; I think he's a terrific singer.)
