Yes however Analeigh's casting seemed odd in the first place.

Krysta was the original Wendla understudy in Spring Awakening, was a replacement Bebe for A Chorus Line and was in the original cast of In The Heights in the ensemble as well as understudying Nina, Vanessa and Carla.

Madeleine Martin (of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY) was the last name I heard rumored for Wednesday.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

I would love for Krysta to be Wednesday. Shes got a great voice and is really hot and I would be so happy if she did cuz then shed be coming to chicago and Id get to see her perform again.

I saw Krysta Rodriguez as Vanessa in In The Heights before they replaced Karen Olivo and she was great.

I sincerely doubt Krysta Rodriguez (who may very well have auditioned) was cast, considering Annaleigh Ashford was not used again because the producers felt she looked "too old to play sixteen."

Rodriguez is in the same age range as Ashford. The rumors of someone genuinely younger, like Martin, seem more appropriate.

WBaF, I have no idea if it was lip-synching, but Martin's character sang on an episode during the first season of Californication.

I'm pretty sure that the decision to leave The Addams Family project was not Annaleigh's at all.
