Hello all! I am taking my daughter to NYC for her 7th bday weekend. She is dying to see a show- she's already seen Shrek, Mary Poppins, Lion King-- and we were thinking The Addams Family would be fun. If anyone has seen it, please let me know if it would be ok for us to see!
Thanks!
It's fine, as long as you're only worried about the appropriateness of the show and not the quality of its content. Kids tend to like it, though.

Hi attagirl,
I can't speak to the NYC production, as I've only seen the Chicago production. I might judge it a bit mature for a 7-year old. I remember one of the characters saying s**t. There was also some sexual innuendo. However, this could easily have changed since Chicago. Hope this helps a bit!

I don't think it's anymore offensive than the TV show. Both times I saw it, employees in the lobby kept warning parents that it wouldn't be appropriate because of the "darker themes." I'm not sure what darker themes they're speaking of... none of them were in the show. It bats you over the head "love love love." I'd say it's fine, aside from the slight touching (which was comical if anything) and occasional vulgarity.
I agree - kids will like it.
Its more than a perfect fit for a 7 year old. She's already seen other shows so she's already savy to the whole bit. The 'adult' bits will perfectly go over her head without any worry.
