It was announced YouTube will be broadcasting the Tony Awards in 2029 so they might just extend 2 more years on CBS. Unless PlutoTV takes it for those 2 years.
Again, though it’ll be almost 15 years between CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF revivals, it truly feels like it’s only been 5 years since the last one. Like GYPSY, this needs to be shelved for another 20-30 years and let it simmer before doing it again.
Ouch. Wednesday April 22 is their Opening Night and it’s the only time this seating chart looked practically sold out. Of course, their first post-Opening Night performance (after a day off) is Friday April 24 and ticket sales are painful again.

Check your Junk and Spam Folder. I received my link within 10 seconds of entering my emai and it was in my Junk Folder. I’m one of those who always looks in my Junk and Spam Folders regularly as everyone knows, all the im
Friend who saw it last week said cigarettes were used as props and never lit. They just held them and acted like they were smoking. You’re good to go. If just seeing a physical cigarette triggers you, I suggest skipping this production.
Based on photos, both Ferguson and d’Amboise use prop cigarettes but they are not lit. Based on the extreme intimacy of the performance space, it’s safe to assume they are never lit and only used as character details. From my understanding, only if they were using any real smoke (fog machine, herbal cigarettes, haze, etc) would a disclaimer be required to be listed on their show website and ticket seller website.

Between LuPone’s revival and Audra’s there was a 16 year gap and it STILL felt like it was too soon. GYPSY needs to disappear for about 30-50 years. An entire new generation needs to be born AND be completely unfamiliar with any stage adaptation of GYPSY for it to have any new relevancy again. The n
The last revival’s lack of interest, even with Audra McDonald headlining it, finally made its point: GYPSY needs to be shelved for a few decades. As everyone has noticed, a 10 year gap on a Broadway feels like 6 months. A 15 year gap between revivals always feels like there was a 3-5 year gap between them. There’s nothing new that can be done to the show - Sam Mendes and George C. Wolfe tried.

So that they will witness what made this show so legendary?

I’d love this as well. Using today’s technology but fully recreating the original production seamlessly. No LED screens, etc. The original production was already minimalistic in its set design so nothin
That may be, but none of the judges or their appearances are posted anywhere in advance. The production may know and I’m sure some judges appearance dates will leak online, but no list of upcoming guest judges is available.

It is worth noting that the last time we had a host who never performed on Broadway before was Hugh Jackman when he first did it backin 2003. He's even mentioned in subsequent interviews how surprised he was to even be offered the job at that poi
