Besides paying Premuim prices, anyone have any advice on purchasing tickets in the front center orch rows? I have been searching telecharge and can't find any seats for any dates that are close to the stage in center orch. I want to get my in-laws good seats. This is for the Broadway production in NYC. Thanks

Those seats are ALL blocked off as premium, and they sell out as premium.

Your only chance at getting any of those seats at regular price is by waiting until about a hour before curtain when any leftover premiums are released for regular price sale.

But like I said, those seats sell at premium prices, well in advance.

It's kind of hard to buy tix that aren't available. Particularly if you don't want to pay a premium.

Two options that I can think of:
1. Try for seats pretty far in the future
2. keep checking because sometimes as it gets closer to show date, the "house" seats are released.

House Seats for JB are generally released about 1 hour before curtain...give or take. Sometimes it's 45 minutes. Just prepare to stand at the box office when they are released...along with a very long line.

I went to the box office right when they opened at 10 a.m. and snagged a sixth row center seat. I did not pay premium price. Go to the box office as soon as they open to see what they have because they release tickets that brokers and hotels were not able to sell/give to patrons.

You just have to be at the right place at the right time.

Yeah, I got to the box office at 10 am and got a front row center mezz. (not orch, but still incredible seat) for a Saturday night show.

I should note that I went to an added performance on the 4th of July, which was a Friday at 2 p.m. I have a feeling the availability would be slightly different during a normal schedule, but see what you can get at 10 a.m. anyway.

Thanks everyone who responded. I figured that was that case. Need to get tickets in advance b/c this is a gift for my wife's parents. I'm going to just wait on these and hopefully when they release more seats past early Jan 2010, I might have better luck at the good seats.
