Posted: 2/17/04 at 1:49pmJust wanted your opinions about the Aida Rush. A group of friends and myself are going over spring break and are going to the Wednesday matinee(*phew!* we will be missing deborah cox!). Any advice on what time to get in line for? Thanks!

Posted: 2/17/04 at 1:53pmGo early! The line usually starts at about 8:45 am. The seats are ok but the stage is high and you miss some of the action.

Posted: 2/17/04 at 6:02pmI did Aida student rush one freezing cold Saturday. I got there at 8:30 in the morning, and there were already around 5 people on the line, and this was in freezin weather. I would suggest around 8:00 if you're doing it around Spring Break. The weather will be nicer, and more people will be there.

If the standby for Aida is still Saycon Sengbloh, I saw her in for Simone and I really liked her. And she can act! Something to said for an Aida who isn't a pop star, but you know my thing with that. You also know that you can talk to me whenever about this. It's not like we aren't going to! lol

"no one will do it better than adam"
very good... a wonderful correct statement. I've heard both good things and bad about Will Chase, but more good. The standby now is Cheyenne Jackson. I love him! So either way I think you'll enjoy whoever is playing Radames.

I went on a Saturday matinee purposely not to see Michelle Williams. Sengbloh was great, in my opinion. I definitely enjoyed her acting, which was superb. She was quite believable and performed the role well.
You'd also be lucky to catch Chase's understudy, Chuck Saculla. He was a pleasure to see in the role. He sounded similar to Adam, but better, in my humble opinion, as I'm not a fan of his, and his acting was nice, and he had great chemistry with Sengbloh.

Yeah - Deborah Cox if pretty well known in the US - especially in the R&B and gay communities. She's had two platinum selling R&B albums and God knows how many number one club/dance hits (hence her popularity in the gay community).
Michelle Williams completed her run in AIDA on February 15th.
