Taylor Dayne was great but I was sad that I didn't get to see Sherie Rene Scott...

A group of elderly ladies behind me were flipping out over Taylor Dayne and kept comparing her to BARBRA! It was hilarious...

[title of show] on Broadway. it's time. believe.

I only saw Ms. Finley, and she was FABULOUS. Fun, hysterical, chilling and even wrenching, all at the right moments. You could tell she was just having so much fun in that role.

I saw three different ones. Sherie, Idina and Lisa, and I think that Sherie captured it most beautifully. She made me care about Amneris more than the other two. Lisa and Idina were both really good as well. Updated On: 1/22/05 at 04:05 PM

I love Lisa. I thought she was GREAT. I like Sherie's Strongest Suit better though. But Lisa's I Know the Truth was INCREDIBLE!!!

I saw Lisa on tour, but saw Sherie with the OBC. The special experience of seeing the OBC made every performance so special. I personally have better memories of Sherie, but Lisa was amazing as well. Such talented women. This was THE white female belter role on broadway before Wicked arrived.

what makes an amneris really good in my opinion is her ability to make you love her...too...if it works...then thats the best one...or ones

As far as acting goes, I thought Lisa was a bit too cold as Amneris. Sherie really acted the transition from ditz to woman really believably. Sherie made me love her.

I was also somewhat sick when I saw Aida on tour. That might explain it.

I never got to see Idina Menzel, but I really liked Lisa Brescia... she is my favorite, but I'm sure Idina did great too.
