Aida tour question
Aida tour question#0
Posted: 1/9/06 at 9:19amHas Aida ever toured, and what (do you think) is the possibility that it will tour in the future, either equity or non? This is on my list of must-see shows. Thanks!
re: Aida tour question#1
Posted: 1/9/06 at 9:23amAida has toured in the past... I saw it a few years back and it was WONDERFUL! However, I don't think it's currently touring and have not heard of one coming in the near future... I think the rights have been released for professional theatres, etc to do.

Posted: 1/9/06 at 9:28amPeople have been talking about another tour since the show closed on Broadway. I supposed it'll happen eventually, though regional productions are fairly common now, instead.
re: Aida tour question#4
Posted: 1/9/06 at 10:27amI am pretty sure it is touring right now, but not in the US.. it is on an international tour I think, based on the Disney website. I wish it would come back I loved Aida and I only got to see it twice (once with Adam Pascal and he was amazing!)

Posted: 1/9/06 at 2:23pmI saw the touring production of Aida twice and really liked it. Would love to see it again!
re: Aida tour question#10
Posted: 1/9/06 at 2:26pmThe Equity tour was stunning. It had the most amazing Amneris - Kelli Fouriner (at the time - and now a memmber here!) and if anyone had the opportunity to see Paulette Ivory as Aida you know what it means to see a star. I hope that the qualities of the production are not compromised for the new tour - the costumes are gonna be great - but I have yet to see the set designs
re: Aida tour question#11
Posted: 1/9/06 at 2:40pmWas the Equity tour set design the same as the Palace? (Mainly I'm wondering if the pool and My Strongest Suit's sets were kept in tact!) Big League is non-eq, isn't it?

Posted: 1/9/06 at 2:50pmThe set was the same - pool and all! Was great! Yes Big Leauge is non - equ. but they generally do pretty good stuff....still....

A lot of the sets and things from Broadway are now in the Korean production, I believe.
I miss this show like mad.

Posted: 1/9/06 at 3:45pmSo do I Em. I was so glad that I got to see it one last time before it closed.
re: Aida tour question#15
Posted: 1/9/06 at 3:48pmI was thinking about it today. I don't know... how much time has actually gone by and all. *shrug* I take long walks through Times Square.
