And Falco as Jenny Diver? Interesting. Can she sing it? She must be good enough, since she did the workshop.
My favorite THREE PENNY is still the Foreman production, Lincoln Center (remember the Paul Davis poster?) with Raul Julia, Ellen Green, Elizabeth Wilson, Blair Brown, and the late, great Tony Azito and Roy Brocksmith doing "The Ballad of Mack the Knife."
Anyone else here (the adults?) see that production? Hard to top. Blair Brown and Ellen Green were fascinating. The Sting/Maureen McGovern production in 89-90 was less memorable.

Can you say MISCASTING? I love Alan Cumming too, but come on people, he is SO wrong for Macheath. And Edie Falco is way to old for Jenny.

Actually, she's younger than Lenya was, not that that supports my argument. But really, Jenny has been around the block a few times, but she's not menopausal yet (sorry Edie).

Wow-- What an exciting announcement! I think it sounds great. But out of curiousity, why would Alan Cumming be "Miscast" as MacHeath? When I saw him in Cabaret that was the first thing I thought of.

Sort of on topic - did anyone see him on The Daily Show? He has a cologne coming out in a white box called - er - Cumming. And there are various patially nude photos of him inside the box. He also has a bodywash called Cumming Clean and a lotion called Cumming All Over. I am NOT kidding. He said it's revenge for a lifetime of people teasing him about his name.
