Damn, 2016 is already crappy for celebrity deaths

I suppose we should use this thread as it was posted first.
I'm devastated. What an amazing actor. I loved his wry, intimidating performance in Seminar a few years back, and have always admired his work on film. What a shame.

very sad news
he was so great in so many roles....
"I want my 7 brothers and sisters from the Asian Dawn released!"
then to other crook Karl when he shrugs questioningly-
"I read about them in Time magazine"
- Die Hard
happy journey Alan and condolences to family and friends.....

My heart was broken. I didn't know him personally, but I felt like I lost one of my best friends. He was an inspiration and I still can't believe he is gone. I found out recently that he and his longtime girlfriend married, and this must have been why. He knew he was sick. A true gentleman to the end. Rest in the sweetest peace, Alan Rickman. Go on home to the "voice" of the Lord.
