I heard that he was a great Leo, just couldn't sing or dance.
Anyone agree or disagree or what?

Posted: 4/13/07 at 5:28pmI actually thought he moved well, from what I can remember. He wasn't the strongest vocally but he did fine. He actually improved from when I saw him on tour - on the tour he didn't hit the high note for "Look out, Broadway, here I come," but I guess he took some lessons because he was able to do it on Broadway. I love Alan :)

I saw him on tour and thought he did a fine job.
Although Leo sings a lot in the show, you don't need spectacular vocals to pull this role off. And there isn't that much dancing for Leo. The two parts that I can think of off the top of my head are the tap dance with the showgirls and the dance a la Fred and Ginger with Ulla, both which can probably be learned easily with the right amount of dedication. Ruck was a good match for the part, and I am glad I got to see him as Leo.

All I cared about was that he nailed the falsetto at the end of "'Til Him." Siiigh.
Can you tell I have a crush?

I totally second the crush. I loved him in 'Spin City', but found his casting a little unbelievable when the ladies would constantly not be into him. XD
