What was Alice Ripley like in COMPANY?
P.s. I noticed she 'rejected' my friend request on Facebook, and got a PM to a fan page on Facebook instead. Thought it was interesting.
(P.s.s. I don't care that there have been and there still is active topics on Alice Ripley, if you are going to complain about that.)
Was the PM directing you to Alice Hathaway? I have no idea about the rejection, she hasn't said anything about it on Facebook.
It read:
HELLO LOVE, IF YOU WISH TO BE A FRIEND, GO TO http://www.facebook.com/drasticalice TO FIND OUR OTHER FAN SITE. HUGS, AR
(SHe didn't accept my friend request to her main FB site).
She is very close to the 5,000 friend limit on her regular page. I wonder if she is simply directing people to this new page for that reason.
She's almost reached the maximum number of friends on that account, so she created a new one. Just friend her there on the new one.
To answer the original question, I thought Alice was brilliant in Company. Very very funny. I'm probably biased because I saw that production just for her - but she stole the show - though the rest of the cast was pretty excellent as well.
I do remember that every night the audience went wild after her number - I think everyone would have been ok if she'd done it again. She's an extremely gifted comic actress.
I actually enjoyed that entire production for the most part. I thought the choreography was interesting and effective and I liked John Barrowman as Bobby.
I didn't see it in person, but I love my bootleg of it. The entire cast is great -Marcy Harriell was a standout to me.
I want Alice Ripley to the play the Witch.
That's all.
I watched videos of her in the show, and I have to say I absolutely LOVE her take on "Getting Married Today." I agree with LeaGirl, she's quite the comic actress.
