Hey everybody. I don't know if anyone has posted this question yet, but I got to thinking today, and I was wondering, which love ballad do you prefer (both from megahits of the '80's): All I Ask Of You from "Phantom" or A Heart Full of Love from "Les Mis"?

"A Heart Full Of Love." Especially since Eponine joins in at the end, the song becomes melancholy and beautiful. Plus, AHFOL has more dramatic appeal: I find PHANTOM'S AIAOY a throwaway number, with very little to say.

Les Miz is my favorite musical of all time, but AHFOL is not my favorite song. I think AIAOY wins for this one.

I LOVE Les Mis, but All I Ask of You is one of the most stunning Broadway ballads. It's incredible and while they're both cheesy, a Heart Full of Love JUST overcrosses the Cheesiness Boundary. AIAOY is more conversational and normal, making it more relatable and beautiful.

All I Ask of You. AHFoL is okay but its definately not a great song in les Mis. only Eponine's part coming into it in the end makes the song deeper but it's not enough to beat POTO.
