You must get the PBS Broadway special on dvd because
1.) There is a sad, yet sweet segment on him that you will see on tv next week (also you get to hear him start to sing "One Song Glory" and it morphs into Adam Pascal singing it). It is really beautiful. I mean, I teared up during this segment.
2.) In the special features, you get to hear him sing "Sunday" in his one man show which would become TICK TICK......BOOM.
*excitement*
Thanks, DJ.
No problem. I am really enjoying this special. I am kind of upset about one or two things, but overall I am really glad I bought it.
Thanks a lot, im excited about this
What is the actual title of this...is it PBS-The American musical? It sounds great but I don't wanna buy the wrong one.
It is called
BROADWAY: THE AMERICAN MUSICAL
You can see what it looks like here:

OMG that is wonderful!! When will this be on tv?? is the dvd released already??
I believe it's scheduled to be on PBS next week, airing 3 consecutive nights. Do a search, I think it was listed somewhere on this board last week.
It starts next week, starting October 19th. I don't know the exact time, but yes next week.
Also, yes it is available. It came out today. I was at Best Buy early this morning and grabbed it as they were taking it out of the box. I am actually watching it backwards. I watched Disk 3 first.....now I am on Disk 2. If you can, I strongly suggest you getting it because it is marvelous and more than likely there is more in the dvds than what will be aired next week. Also, you get bonus features with rare clips (like the Larson one mentioned above). I am going to cherish this and the BROADWAY GOLDEN AGE dvd (when it is released) for the rest of my life.
If possible, I encourage everyone to purchase this awesome dvd set.... even if you are planning on watching the broadcast next week. Not only is the DVD package LOADED with extras, but if successful, we could look forward to even more releases like this.
I really hope they release other musicals including taped shows like CATS, Joseph, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sunday in the Park, Passion, etc. I think when a show closes they need to bring on a dvd. lol

hm, I'm adding this to my Christmas list (I'm a poor college student that wants to go and see every show possible, I don't have money to buy DVDs, unfortunately lol)
ooooh...Like Modern Millie or Parade???
Thanks, spider! I'm definitely going to get this!
Your welcome, Diva. I would love to have many, many shows on dvd. These producers need to listen up. lol

I'm confused by this comment. Sunday and Passion are on DVD.
Maybe he meant *like* CATS, Joseph, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sunday in the Park, Passion, etc.
I meant those dvd's are out and others need to be taped like those. Sorry it was confusing.
I gotchu.
