I actually like the "GOOD VIBRATIONS" poster.
Wait...Elvis is not in this? What the . . .? I suppose the Beach Boys aren't in Good Vibrations either? And ABBA was not in MammaMia?
I think we all got that...the point is that the poster does not allude to Elvis or his music...it is much too generic.
yea your right, the fact that is says "featuring the music of ELVIS PRESLEY" on it in big letters wont let anyone know it has to do with Elvis at all.. They just don't want people to think the story has to do with Elvis that is why I think they made the right choice in not putting him in the logo. The Mama Mia poster doesn't have ABBA on it.. Kind of your own point changed around there.
Someone said earlier that they did not like the Little Women poster. I have to admit, I think that it looks classy, embarks on the theme of the novel. :)
"In big letters"???
Yeah..so big I didn't even notice it.
A pic of Elvis or some representation would be much more effective. Hell..they want to sell tickets! Go right for the thing that'll sell them. The pic of the kid from "Les Miz" and "Cats" cats eyes did more to sell the show than any words on the posters.
but why do you feel this show needs Eivls on the poster and don't feel the same about Mama Mia or Good Vibrations?
Dear Penny...my only reason for bringing up mama mia and good vibrations was to respond to the scholar who felt the need to tell that Elvis is not a character in "all shook up"... a point which I believe we all knew...
The poster remains bland and ineffective...as does the good vibrations poster...

Somebody clear this up for me. What exactly is the "plot" of All Shook Up?
There is a town where everyone is on lonely st. and then a strange whit a guitar comes town and gets an old jukebox to start playing all of a sudden everyone starts to fall in love.. One girl falls for the new comer and is willing to do whatever it takes to get close to him. While this is happening everyone else in town starts to fall in love with other people in town.. but most of the people don't love the person who loves them in return. There is also a Mayor in town who feels Rock n Roll music and partying is the devil which causes trouble. There is also a small story line with an integrational relation ship and at one point what they think is a gay relationship..
I don't want to give away to much
its a very cute story line and very funny..

Oookay. And does this young fellow with a guitar by any chance resemble...oh, I don't know...Conrad Birdie?
Well, in Ct he was blond, so he's the 'heart throb' kind of guy there are lots of them.. But like its not about Elvis is what I am saying he's not the only Lead in the show either he's Chad and the lead female is Natallie/Ed
Chad is a roustabout not some famous star that walks into town and the whole town loves him (Nattallie the most) but the Woman Chad wants can't stad him. Then he thinks he's inlove with a man.. so its a little differnt
