YAY I saw it the other day and was such a tourest I stoped to take a pictuer.. I never do that in the city.. look at what this show is turing me into! lol I can't wait to see it again!

My god is this thing hideous. It reminds me of one of those horrible album covers that you buy in sets late at night on television--you know, "The Best of the 60's!" or something like that. Way too busy. The old one was like a Monet compared to this. Why did they alter the old one anyways?

what do you mean because that's been there for a couple weeks now... at least since the last time i was in the city... and boy does it look hideous both in the picture and in real life... i really can't believe tiny-toon likes brooklyn, good vibrations and is now excited for all shook up... i mean... personal tastes in theatre are one thing... but this is just being controversial for the sake of argument

Oh, you know what? It used to just be half of that whole big thing. Like, when AIDA first opened, there was a HUGE AIDA thing that looked just like that. Then, toward the middle/end of the run, it was split in half. After AIDA closed, it was still split in half, with ASU on one side. Now the whole thing is ASU. I think...

Blech.
After LITTLE WOMEN, it's the worst marquee I've seen in years. (I'm not talking about the shows here, just the logos/marquees).
That ALL SHOOK UP marquee is WAY too busy.
And considering the rather unattractive DIRTY ROTTEN SOUNDRELS display outside of the Imperial, I'm dubbing this the "Season of the Ugly Logos."

oh, i thought little women's logo was nice... this one however... and that obnoxious heart lining trash cans of the theatre district... don't get me started... i like sweet charity's... christina is cute

Apdarcy, of course, it is a matter of personal opinion.
But I hate the LITTLE WOMEN logo. It's smacks of 1985 to me, those odd linked faces in a rainbow hue. It doesn't really say anything about the show, and against that white background, I find it completely unattractive.
On the other hand, I think the CHARITY campaign is terrific. Cute, smart, and inviting. (I have no idea how the show will be, but I give props to the ad department there.)

oh i'm glad we agree on charity! what are some other brilliant ads from the recent past? personally i loved the new little shop's ad campaign... it was simple and the same as before but so fresh... the same as the show!

I think the All Shook Up logo (minus the characters) looks similar to Hairspray's, only without the blocks around certain letters... I dunno, call me crazy, but yellow isn't a very inviting color to me.

It's definitely not too busy. The busy marquee is THE PRODUCERS' marquee next to it. It took me twenty minutes to find the title. I think that the ALL SHOOK UP marquee is cute! Bright, bold and the title is clearly visible.

I also noticed that the posters that I had been seeing, Chad had the blond hair that I guess they were originally going to go with(like at the Macy's parade). He's got the dark hair in this new one. So glad they didn't make him blond. I like the marquee and I'm looking forward to seeing Cheyenne and the show.
I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2. "unleash the girly"

The Producers marquee nest to it? Ummm, as far as I know, the Producers marquee is still on 44th and simply says "The Producers." Now, as for everyone asking me about the "old one" I'm talking about the logo when it was first announced to play in chicago. It was a few colorful letters atop a black background. and that was all. then they changed it to puke yellow and added all the cartoons.

It's fitting that the background is the color of McDonald's orange juice. I don't mind the characters so much, but a blue or black background would have been easier on the eyes and more attractive. I also don't like the Little Women logo. It's all about boobs. The Good Vibrations logo looks like gay porn comics.
